Van Gogh walked here

It's looking quite likely that we will be able to rename our community street  from Isabel Street to Van Gogh well as referring to our famous former neighbour by using plants and trees that he included in many of his paintings. These include olive, cypress and almond trees and lavender.

Talking of trees some of you may have noticed we have been lucky enough to have had more street trees planted thanks to one of the Mayor of Londons schemes. Trees for Cities, based in Kennington Park, recently planted lots of new trees along South Island Place and other surrounding streets
