Print studio in Vincent's Yard

It was great to see a group of talented teenagers at the Slaughterhaus print studio this week busy building their portfolios during half term.

Slaughterhaus is tucked away right at the south east end of Hackford Road in 'Vincent's Yard'. Experienced print makers can arrange to use the studio, there is a regular printmaking class on Thursday evenings, and look out for the other courses Michelle runs during the holidays.

Did you know that this end of Hackford Road was home to a veterinary practice and quarantine station specially built in 1885 to look after large animals like giraffes and elephants, and of course the horses that pulled the London hackney carriages?! I'm not sure where Slaughterhaus gets its name from....
