Our new gardening team

Van Gogh 'Digger' 1882
Van Gogh Museum, Amsterdam
Streetscape has been busy checking and watering in the new plants on Van Gogh Walk today. This team (a social enterprise based in nearby Myatt's Fields) will be helping look after Van Gogh Walk for the next three years - hooray. There will be plenty of opportunities for local people to get involved, and they even offer paid apprenticeships to unemployed 18-25 year olds who would like to work outdoors.

If you haven't yet said hello, you might like to drop by to meet the Streetscape team, find out a bit about horticulture, and plant sunflowers on 29 May 8am-noon.

You may also have noticed them digging around the treepits in local streets and putting in some new top soil, in preparation for some pretty underplanting. Every little bit of planting can help take some pressure off London's drainage system, improve air quality and biodiversity, and make us all feel good.

"If you truly love nature, you will find beauty everywhere."
