Another award for Van Gogh Walk

More recognition for Van Gogh Walk last night at the British Museum from the judges of the inaugural Placemaking Awards. Van Gogh Walk was praised for its local impact and good design, and the results that can be achieved by a local authority transport team working with a steering group of local people, housing associations, schools and councillors.

Local photographer and blogger Jason Cobb has put together a slide show about some of the background to Van Gogh Walk - which you can see and hear below or by clicking on this.

March 30th is Vincent Van Gogh's birthday and the first birthday of Van Gogh Walk. This year it is also Mothering Sunday.

We are planning an afternoon event on the street to celebrate.

There will be art activities with the fabulous local print studio Slaughterhaus, Lambeth Play will bring some of their outdoor games, and some of the small animals from Vauxhall City Farm will come to visit.

Let us know if you'd like to get involved.
