Sowing seeds for the future

Around 70 pupils from Durand Academy did a great job sowing papaver rheus to commemorate the 100th anniversary of WW1, girasole for Vincent and scrummy veg to eat on Van Gogh Walk and learnt lots about seeds from Keith and the team from Streetscape.

We have lots of red poppy seeds left if you have a treepit or street garden near you. Email elaine@vangoghwalk.org if you would like some. Lots of weeds are sprouting up in the mini gardens..please pull a few up...weeds that is... if you spot any and easy to do now after the rain.

And thank you to SPRA and Anna for donated plants.

and our new neighbours Friends of the Earth popped over
and Nigel Walker and Carla Franklin from Hyde Southbank
