After many setbacks the plans for 87 Hackford Road, Vincent's Stockwell home have finally been submitted.
The planning application can be accessed by searching the reference '15/03508/LB' on the Lambeth council planning database, http://planning. lambeth.gov.uk/online- applications/. You can see all the documents that were uploaded with the application, including the drawings, design and access statement and heritage statement. The deadline for comments etc is 21st July. If all goes to plan the extensive refurbishment to the house will begin in October,
The owners of the house have also kindly extended an invitation to local residents to take a look at the plans in situ until Friday July 10th. Anyone wishing to visit the house can email Livia Wang at Livia@vangoghhouse.co.uk
Something the house has in common with Vincent's final resting place is rampaging ivy
It has now been confirmed this outside toilet was in existence when Vincent lived in the house
Vincents' room - given the current state of the roof the house would not be able to withstand another winter
and talking of photographs... this one from 1887 could be one of the only ones Vincent ever appeared in for more information take a look here
