But after a year long restoration the Grade II listed former residence of Vincent van Gogh is almost ready to open its doors.
Currently hanging in Tate Britain is an image of the house restored to its original 1870s condition by architect Livia Wang,
"Everyone is getting excited about the Van Gogh and Britain exhibition opening at the end of the month, and we're buckling ourselves in for a bit for a whirlwind."
